Inspection Standards and Precautions

Inspection Basis:

  • Dimensions & Appearance: Based on GB2828-87 normal single sampling general inspection level. Major dimensions/defects: Level II, AQL=0.65; Minor dimensions/defects: Level I, AQL=1.0.
  • Electromagnetic Performance: Based on GB2828-87 normal single sampling special inspection level S-4 / S-3, AQL=1.0.
  • Core Defect Acceptance Criteria:
    • Contact Surface: Single defect area 1.8mm, depth 0.50mm; Sum of areas of more than two defects 3.5mm, depth 0.50mm.
    • Non-Contact Surface: Single defect area 2.5mm, depth 0.50mm; Sum of areas of more than two defects 0.50mm, depth 0.50mm.

Warnings and Precautions:

  • Carefully consider the maximum and minimum specification values, especially for magnetic material characteristics (AL, Bs, Pc, temperature coefficient, frequency, Tc), to correctly select FERRITE CORE material and type.
  • Use suitable, non-corrosive, and non-interactive insulating materials for winding. Be careful during winding to avoid abrasion of wire insulation.
  • For enhanced insulation, consider using bobbins and tape, or other neutral dielectric materials with thermal compensation similar to the FERRITE CORE.
  • Avoid improper use of assembly fixtures and excessive assembly force to prevent CORE damage and chipping.
  • Thoroughly clean the workspace between the coil and CORE to prevent CORE damage and insulation failure.
  • Use appropriate 2-UEW specification wires for winding to prevent overheating and combustion.
  • For safety, prevent damage to other circuit components caused by improper transformer assembly position and overload current.
  • Follow these precautions to avoid human-induced damage during FERRITE CORE assembly:
    • Handle with care to prevent breakage and chipping of FERRITE CORE and ceramic capacitors.
    • Keep CORE away from strong magnetic fields.
    • Avoid mechanical impact when using assembly fixtures.
    • Prevent damage from thermal shock.
    • Avoid direct contact between CORE surfaces during intense friction.
    • Exercise caution regarding CORE weight during shipping and transportation.
    • Do not reuse FERRITE COREs.
    • FERRITE COREs are not edible. Keep them away from children and do not attempt to ingest them.
