ASC WA04/06 Series Chip Resistors Array

The ASC WA04/06 series offers a range of general-purpose chip resistors arrays designed for surface mounting. These components are constructed with a high-grade ceramic body and feature internal metal electrodes connected by a resistive paste, precisely trimmed by laser. They are suitable for automated placement systems and offer reduced final equipment size, lower assembly costs, and higher reliability. The series is RoHS compliant and lead-free. Marking

3-digits marking for E24 series 1% ,5% products. For values up to 9.1 the R is used as a decimal point. For values of 10.0 or greater the first 2 digits apply to the resistance value and the third indicates the number of zeros to follow. Example: 4.7 = 4R7, 10 = 100, 100 = 101, 6800 = 682, 47000 = 473. No marking for WA04Y chip resistors array and E96 series resistance.

Functional Description

Standard values of nominal resistance are taken from the E24 series for 5% tolerance and E24/E96 series for 1% tolerance, in accordance with IEC publication 60063. Power dissipation is dependent on operating temperature, refer to derating curves.

Mounting and Soldering

Suitable for automatic placement systems on ceramic substrates and PCBs. End terminations guarantee reliable contact. Can be immersed in a solder bath of 260C for 10 seconds. Tested for solderability at 235C for 2 seconds. No leaching at 260C for 30 seconds.

Test and Requirements

Tests are carried out according to IEC publication 115-8, category LCT/UCT/56. Requirements include DC resistance, Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (T.C.R.), Short time overload (S.T.O.L), Resistance to soldering heat (R.S.H), Solderability, Temperature cycling, Load life (endurance), Load life in Humidity, Adhesion, Insulation Resistance, and Dielectric Withstand Voltage.
