Marking

3-digit marking for E24 series 1% ,5% products. For values up to 9.1 the R is used as a decimal point. For values of 10.0 or greater the first 2 digits apply to the resistance value and the third indicates the number of zeros to follow. No marking for WA04Y chip resistors array and E96 series resistance.

Functional Description

Product Characterization

Standard values of nominal resistance are taken from the E24 series for resistors with a tolerance of 5%, and from the E24/E96 series for resistors with a tolerance of 1%. Values conform to IEC publication 60063.

Derating

Power dissipation is dependent on operating temperature. Refer to Fig.3 for maximum dissipation as a function of ambient temperature.

Mounting

Suitable for automatic placement systems due to their rectangular shapes and small tolerances. Can be mounted on ceramic substrates and printed-circuit boards (PCBs). Electrical connection is by individual soldering. End terminations ensure reliable contact.

Soldering Condition

Can be immersed in a solder bath of 260C for 10 seconds. Surface Mount Resistors are tested for solderability at 235C for 2 seconds. Test condition for no leaching is 260C for 30 seconds. Refer to Fig 4 for typical soldering profiles.
