The ASC WA04/06 series offers general-purpose chip resistor arrays designed for high-volume surface-mount assembly. These resistors are constructed with a high-grade ceramic body and feature internal metal electrodes connected by a laser-trimmed resistive paste, offering small size, light weight, and reduced final equipment size. Marking

3-digits marking for E24 series 1% ,5% products. For values up to 9.1 the R is used as a decimal point. For values of 10.0 or greater the first 2 digits apply to the resistance value and the third indicates the number of zeros to follow. No marking for WA04Y chip resistors array and E96 series resistance.

Functional Description

Product Characterization

Standard values of nominal resistance are taken from the E24 series for resistors with a tolerance of 5%, and from the E24/E96 series for resistors with a tolerance of 1%. Values are in accordance with IEC publication 60063.

Derating

The power that the resistor can dissipate depends on the operating temperature.

Mounting

Suitable for automatic placement systems due to rectangular shapes and small tolerances. Can be mounted on ceramic substrates and printed-circuit boards (PCBs). Electrical connection is by individual soldering condition.

Soldering Condition

Can be immersed in a solder bath of 260C for 10 seconds. Tested for solderability at 235C for 2 seconds. Test condition for no leaching is 260C for 30 seconds.

Test and Requirements

Tests are carried out according to IEC publication 115-8, category LCT/UCT/56, and meet requirements specified by EIA, EIAJ, and JIS. Standard atmospheric conditions apply: Temperature: 15C to 35C, Relative humidity: 45% to 75%, Air pressure: 86kPa to 106 kPa.
