Derating Curve
The derating curve illustrates the reduction in rated power with increasing ambient temperature. For 01005 & 0201 sizes, derating begins at 70C. For sizes 0402 to 2512, derating begins at 70C, with full rated power maintained up to 70C and then decreasing linearly.
Marking Code Information
Marking codes are used to identify resistance values and tolerances. Specific codes apply based on size, tolerance, and resistance value (e.g., E24, E96). 01005, 0201, and 0402 sizes cannot be marked. For 0603 size, 1% E-96 values use a standard 3-digit alpha-numeric code. For larger sizes, standard 3-digit or 4-digit codes are used, with E-192 values not typically marked.
