Product Overview
The Vishay BCcomponents VY2 Series are single-layer AC disc safety capacitors designed for EMI/RFI suppression and filtering. These Class X1 (440 VAC) and Class Y2 (300 VAC) capacitors offer high reliability and are suitable for line-to-line, line-to-ground, and primary/secondary coupling applications in switch-mode power supplies (SMPS). They feature vertical (inline) kinked or straight leads and are encapsulated in flame-retardant epoxy resin.
