Note on Test Conditions:

  • Capacitance (Cap): Measured at 120Hz 20%, 1Vrms, Series equivalent circuit. Tolerance: 20%.
  • Dissipation Factor (DF tan): See Table 1 in source document for specific values based on WV. For capacities > 1000F, DF increases by 0.02 for every 1000F increase.
  • Leakage Current (LC): Measured after 2 minutes with rated working voltage applied. For 6.3~50V.DC, I 0.01CV or 3A, whichever is greater.
  • High and Low Temperature Characteristic: Impedance at -40C compared to +20C, and capacitance change at 105C compared to +20C are specified.
  • Surge Voltage Test: 1000 cycles of 305s charge and 3305s discharge. Capacitance change within 20%, DF not more than 200% of Table 1, LC to satisfy 4.1.4.
  • Mechanical Characteristics: Includes tensile and bending strength of termination, vibration resistance, and solderability.
  • Durability Test (Load Life): 2000 hours at 1052C with rated voltage and ripple current. Capacitance change within 25% (16V~100V) or 30% (6.3V~10V), DF not more than 200% of initial value, LC to satisfy 4.1.4.
  • Shelf Life Test: 1000-0 +48h at 1052C with no voltage applied.
  • Solder-Heat-Resistance: Tested at 2605C for 101s on a 1.6mm PCB. Capacitance change within 10%, DF not more than initial value, LC to satisfy 4.1.4.
  • Safety Vent: Applicable for aluminum case diameter 8.
  • Resistance to damp heat: Tested at 402C, 90~95% RH for 5008h.
