Skyworks Solutions Si598/Si599 Programmable XO/VCXO
Product Overview
The Skyworks Si598 XO and Si599 VCXO are advanced clock generators utilizing proprietary DSPLL circuitry to deliver low-jitter clock signals at any frequency between 10 and 810 MHz with an exceptional 28 parts per trillion (ppt) resolution. These devices are user-programmable via a 2-pin I2C compatible serial interface, enabling dynamic frequency adjustments and multi-rate operation. The integrated crystal ensures stable, low-jitter frequency synthesis, making them ideal replacements for multiple XOs, clock generators, and DAC-controlled VCXOs. The Si599 offers voltage-controlled tuning for phase-locked loop applications, while the Si598 is digitally pullable for digital PLL applications. They are suitable for demanding applications such as SONET/SDH/xDSL, Ethernet/Fibre Channel, 3G/HD SDI, multi-rate PLLs, frequency margining, and agile RF local oscillators.
