- Main failure mode is short circuit. Ensure safety by considering protective circuits.
- Wear-out failure (lifetime) can cause open circuit.
- Use POSCAP within the rated voltage to ensure stable characteristics.
- Operating temperature and ripple current must be controlled to not exceed rated temperature.
- Leakage current may increase slightly under certain storage conditions but can be restored by applying voltage below maximum operating temperature.
- Rapid charge and discharge are restricted; a protective circuit is recommended if rush current exceeds 20 A.

- Floor life conditions: 30 / 60 %RH for 4 weeks (Level 3), 168 hours (Level 5), 48 hours (Level 3).
- Prohibited circuits: High impedance voltage retention circuits, Coupling circuits, Time constant circuits, Circuits greatly affected by leakage current, Series connection of two or more POSCAPs to raise endurance voltage.
