Endurance:
- +85 , 1000 h, rated voltage applied
- +105 , 1000 h, rated voltage applied
- +85 , 2000 h, rated voltage applied (for some D size models)
- +105 , 2000 h, rated voltage applied (for some D size models)
Damp Heat (Steady State): +60 , 90 % to 95 % RH, 500 h, No-applied voltage
Reflow Conditions: 250 or 260 (depending on series/part number)
Storage Conditions: Unopened: 18 months or shorter after shipment. Opened: Seal in reel and moisture proof bag at 30 / 60 %RH. Use within 4 weeks (2a), 168 hours (3), or 48 hours (5) depending on floor life level.
Prohibited Circuits: High impedance voltage retention circuits, Coupling circuits, Time constant circuits, Circuits greatly affected by leakage current, Circuits with two or more POSCAPs in series.
Failure Mode: Primarily short circuit. May emit smoke. Installation of protective circuits is recommended.
Wear-out Failure: Electrolyte may insulate, causing open circuit after exceeding specified endurance/damp heat times.
Failure Rate: 0.5 % / 1000 h (B2 size or less: 1.0 %) with 60 % confidence level, under specific endurance conditions.
Application Limitations: Not intended for use in liquids, direct sunlight, dust, corrosive gases, strong static electricity or electromagnetic waves, near heat-generating components, sealed or coated with resin, with specific flux cleaning agents, or in atmospheres with stray acid/alkaline, excessive vibration/shock, low pressure, or decompression.
Safety Precautions: If safety concerns arise, contact the factory immediately. For applications requiring high reliability and safety, install protection circuits and/or redundant circuits. Do not apply voltage exceeding the full rated voltage. Rapid charge and discharge are restricted; protective circuits are recommended for rush current exceeding 20 A.
