Plastic Film Capacitors - CAT.8100L
Product Overview
This series of plastic film capacitors, specifically the CAT.8100L range, offers highly reliable and superior performance in high-frequency applications. They feature self-healing and non-inductive construction, utilizing a dielectric made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film covered with vacuum-evaporated metal. The capacitors are double-coated with liquid epoxy resin internally and flame-retardant epoxy resin externally, providing excellent humidity resistance. Designed for compactness, they cover a broad capacitance range and tolerate AC voltage and large current flow. The lead wires have a maximum of 1mm epoxy for optimal soldering on PC board assemblies. These capacitors are compliant with the RoHS directive (2011/65/EU, (EU)2015/863).
Applications
Ideal for filtering, DC-blocking, coupling, and similar functions in general communications equipment. They are also suitable for use in AC circuits for motor starting, charging/discharging, lighting, and noise suppression. Note: Do not use these products for across-the-line applications.
