The MMPC0502 Series High Current Molded Power Inductors are designed for high-efficiency power systems. Featuring a compact design and utilizing carbonyl powder, these inductors offer high current handling capabilities, low DCR, and efficient operation up to 5MHz. They are particularly well-suited for PC power systems, including IMVP-6 DC/DC converters, and provide very low acoustic and leakage flux noise. These inductors are RoHS compliant and operate within a temperature range of -40 to +125.

Saturation Current (Isat) Approximately L30%. Saturation DC Current (Isat) will cause L0 to drop L(%)
Heat Rated Current (Irms) Approximately T40. Heat Rated Current (Irms) will cause the coil temperature rise T(). Applied the allowed DC current. Temperature measured by digital surface thermometer.
Life Test Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. Temperature: 1252. Applied current: rated current. Duration: 100012hrs. Measured at room temperature after placing for 242 hrs.
Load Humidity Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. Humidity: 852% RH, Temperature: 852. Duration: 1000hrs. Measured at room temperature after placing for 242 hrs.
Moisture Resistance Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. Detailed multi-step temperature and humidity cycling. Measured at room temperature after placing for 1~2 hrs.
Thermal shock Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. 500 cycles of -402 for 305min and 1252 for 305min (with brief transition). Measured at room temperature after placing for 242 hrs.
Vibration Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. Oscillation Frequency: 10Hz2KHz10Hz for 20 minutes. Total Amplitude: 10g. Testing Time: 12 hours (20 minutes, 12 cycles each of 3 orientations).
Bending Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. Component mounted on FR4 substrate. Bending depth: 1.2mm (>=0805) or 0.8mm (<0805). Duration of 10 sec.
Shock Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. 3 shocks in each direction along 3 perpendicular axes (18 shocks). Peak value: 50g's. Normal duration (D): 11ms. Wave form: Half-sine.
Resistance to Soldering Heat Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. Test time: 5s (Method B1 @255C) or 30s (Method D @260C). Measured at room temperature after recovery.
Terminal Strength Preconditioning: Run through IR reflow for 3 times. Apply a force (>1kg for >=0805, 0.5kg for <0805) to the side of the device for 601 seconds.
