Application Guidelines:

  • Ensure operating conditions (temperature, ripple current) are within specified limits.
  • Capacitors are polarized; avoid reverse or AC voltage. Use non-polar types for circuits with potential polarity reversal.
  • Do not use for rapid/frequent charge/discharge cycles without special design capacitors.
  • Avoid excess voltage; ensure peak voltage does not exceed rated voltage. Use balancing resistors for series connections.
  • Outer sleeve is not guaranteed as an electrical insulator.
  • Avoid exposure to water, brine, oil, toxic gases, ozone, UV, radiation, severe vibration, or physical shock.
  • Consider lead spacing for PC board mounting and ensure no circuit patterns are above the safety vent.
  • Do not locate circuit patterns beneath the capacitor end seal or place heat-generating components near the capacitor.
  • Electrical characteristics may vary with temperature and frequency.
  • Discharge capacitors with a 1k resistor before handling after power application.
  • Perform voltage treatment for capacitors stored for over 6 months.
  • Confirm ratings and polarity before installation.
  • Do not drop or reuse dropped capacitors. Avoid deforming capacitors during installation.
  • Soldering conditions must be within SAMXON specifications (Pb/Sn and Pb-free types).
  • Do not clean with halogenated cleaning agents.
  • Store capacitors at 5C to 35C, <75% RH, out of direct sunlight. Capacitors stored over one year may require voltage aging treatment.
  • Dispose of capacitors as industrial waste through professional specialists.
