General Characteristics
- Standard Atmospheric Conditions for Measurement: Ambient temperature: 15C to 35C, Relative humidity: 45% to 85%, Air Pressure: 86kPa to 106kPa. For critical measurements: Ambient temperature: 20C 2C, Relative humidity: 60% to 70%, Air Pressure: 86kPa to 106kPa.
- Operating Temperature Range: See Table 1 temperature range (-25C to 105C).
- Rated Voltage (WV) & Surge Voltage (SV): Available for various DC voltages from 6.3V to 450V.
- Capacitance Measurement: Frequency: 120Hz12Hz, Voltage: Not more than 0.5Vrms, Temperature: 202.
- Leakage Current: Measured after connecting with a protective resistor (1k 10) in series for 2 minutes. Refer to Table 1 for criteria.
- tan Measurement: Frequency, voltage, and temperature as per capacitance measurement conditions. Refer to Table 1 for criteria.
- Terminal Strength: Tensile and bending strength tests specified for different lead wire diameters.
- Temperature Characteristics: Tests conducted at various temperatures (-40C, 20C, 105C) to assess tan and leakage current. Impedance ratio at low temperatures also specified.
- Load Life Test: Conducted at 105C 2 with DC bias and ripple current for specified duration. Criteria include leakage current, capacitance change (within 20%), tan (not more than 200% of specified value), and appearance (no electrolyte leakage).
- Shelf Life Test: Storage at 1052 for 1000+48/0 hours. Criteria similar to Load Life Test.
- Surge Test: 1000 cycles of charge/discharge with surge voltage. Criteria include leakage current, capacitance change (within 15%), tan, and appearance.
- Vibration Test: Applied for 2 hours in 3 mutually perpendicular directions within specified frequency and amplitude. Criteria include no intermittent contacts, open/short circuits, or damage.
- Solderability Test: Soldering temperature 2453, dipping depth 2mm, dipping speed 252.5mm/s, dipping time 30.5s. Minimum 95% surface coating quality required.
- Resistance to Solder Heat Test: Terminals immersed in solder bath at 2605 for 101 seconds or 40010 for 3+0/-1 seconds. Criteria include leakage current, capacitance change (within 10%), tan, and appearance.
- Change of Temperature Test: 5 cycles of temperature changes (-40C/-25C to +105C). Criteria include leakage current, tan, and appearance.
- Damp Heat Test: 5008 hours at 90~95% RH and 402. Criteria include leakage current, capacitance change (within 20%), tan (not more than 120% of specified value), and appearance.
- Vent Test: For products with vents ( 6.3mm). Operates with no dangerous conditions.
- Maximum Permissible Ripple Current: Maximum AC current at 120Hz and maximum operating temperature. Frequency multipliers provided for different frequencies and voltage/capacitance ranges.
