Application Guidelines - Key Points

  • Ensure operating conditions (temperature, ripple current) are within specified limits.
  • Capacitors are polarized; avoid reverse or AC voltage. Use non-polar types for circuits with potential polarity reversal.
  • Do not use for rapid/frequent charge/discharge cycles without special design capacitors.
  • Avoid excess voltage; peak voltage (DC + ripple) must not exceed rated voltage.
  • Outer sleeve is not insulated; use special insulation if required.
  • Avoid exposure to water, brine, oil, toxic gases, ozone, UV, and radiation.
  • Ensure proper PC board hole spacing matches lead spacing.
  • Do not place circuit patterns above the capacitor's safety vent.
  • Soldering conditions must be within SAMXON specifications (Pb/Sn and Pb-free).
  • Do not clean with halogenated cleaning agents.
  • Store capacitors at 5C to 35C, <75% RH, out of direct sunlight. Capacitors stored over one year may require voltage treatment.
  • Dispose of capacitors as industrial waste through specialists.

  • RoHS Directive: Products comply with EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) regarding Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr6+), PBBs, and PBDEs.
  • Halogen Free: Products are compliant with limits for Bromine (Br) and Chlorine (Cl).
