- Nominal capacitance (Tolerance): Measured at 120Hz12Hz, not more than 0.5Vrms, 202.
- Leakage current: Measured after connecting with a protective resistor (1k10) in series for 2 minutes. Refer to Table 1 for criteria.
- tan: Measured under the same conditions as nominal capacitance. Refer to Table 1 for criteria.
- Terminal Strength: Specified tensile and bending forces. Criteria: No noticeable changes, breakage, or looseness at the terminal.
- Temperature Characteristics: Tested across various temperatures (-25C to 105C). Criteria: tan within limits, leakage current not more than 8 times specified value at -40C and not more than specified value at 20C. Impedance ratio at -25C and -40C specified.
- Load life test: Tested at 1052C with DC bias and rated ripple current for specified hours. Criteria: Leakage current satisfied, Capacitance Change within 20%, tan not more than 200%, no electrolyte leakage.
- Shelf life test: Stored at 1052C for 1000+48/0 hours without voltage. Tested after stabilization and applying rated voltage. Criteria: Leakage current satisfied, Capacitance Change within 20%, tan not more than 200%, no electrolyte leakage.
- Surge test: 1000 cycles of charge/discharge with surge voltage. Criteria: Leakage current not more than specified, Capacitance Change within 15%, tan not more than specified, no electrolyte leakage.
- Vibration test: 10Hz ~ 55Hz, 1.5mm peak to peak amplitude for 2 hours in 3 directions. Criteria: No intermittent contacts, open/short circuits, damage to terminals/electrodes, mechanical damage, electrolyte leakage, or swelling. Markings legible.
- Solderability test: Sn-Cu solder at 2503C, dipping depth 2mm, speed 252.5mm/s, time 30.5s. Criteria: Minimum 95% of immersed surface coated.
- Resistance to solder heat test: Immersed in solder bath at 2605C for 101 seconds or 40010C for 3+0/-1 seconds. Criteria: Leakage current not more than specified, Capacitance Change within 10%, tan not more than specified, no electrolyte leakage.
- Change of temperature test: 5 cycles of temperature changes (-40C to +105C). Criteria: Leakage current not more than specified, tan not more than specified, no electrolyte leakage.
- Damp heat test: 5008 hours at 90~95% RH and 402. Criteria: Leakage current not more than specified, Capacitance Change within 20%, tan not more than 120%, no electrolyte leakage.
- Vent test: For products with vent diameter 6.3. DC test with reversed polarity. Criteria: Vent operates with no dangerous conditions.
- Maximum permissible (ripple current): Maximum AC current at 100kHz and maximum operating temperature.
