Product Overview
The SAMXON GY Series Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors are polar, foil-type capacitors designed for use in electronic equipment. These capacitors meet IEC60384 standards and are constructed with a single-ended, wound element impregnated with electrolyte, enclosed in an aluminum case and sealed with end seal rubber, finished with a PET vinyl sleeve. They are suitable for various electronic applications requiring reliable capacitance and stable performance across a wide temperature range.

Application Guidelines
Circuit Design: Consider effects of operating temperature and frequency on electrical parameters. Avoid reverse voltage, over voltage, and excessive ripple current. Use DC bipolar capacitors for circuits with changing polarity. For series/parallel connections, ensure voltage and current balancing. Ensure proper clearance for pressure relief vents and avoid wiring above vents. Use appropriate circuit board hole spacing and mounting considerations.
Capacitor Handling: Verify correct capacitance, voltage, and polarity before insertion. Avoid dropping or using dented/crushed capacitors. Follow specified soldering temperatures and times. Avoid stress on leads during insertion and soldering. Ensure proper cleaning solvent compatibility and drying procedures. Avoid using halogenated solvents, alkali solvents, petroleum based solvents, xylene, or acetone unless specified.
Precautions for using capacitors: Do not store or use outside rated temperature ranges, or in direct contact with water, salt water, oil, high humidity, toxic gases, ozone, radiation, UV rays, excessive vibration, or shock. Avoid touching terminals due to electric shock risk. Do not short circuit terminals. In case of vent operation, immediately turn off equipment. Avoid contact with escaping electrolyte gas.
Long Term Storage: Capacitors may exhibit increased leakage current after long storage. Reconditioning by applying rated voltage in series with a 1000 resistor for 30 minutes is recommended after one year.
Capacitor Disposal: Incinerate after crushing or puncturing the can wall, or dispose of as solid waste, following local laws.
