Product Details
Polarity: DC electrolytic capacitors are polarized. Ensure correct polarity to avoid damage. Use bipolar capacitors when polarity is uncertain. Not for AC applications.
Usage Voltage: Do not exceed rated voltage. Recommended working voltage is 70-80% of rated voltage for extended life.
Ripple Current: Do not exceed permissible ripple current to prevent overheating and damage. Generally, not more than 80% of rated current.
Temperature: Characteristics vary with temperature. Lower operating temperatures ensure longer life. Relationship: Life doubles for every 10C decrease in temperature.
Frequency: Capacitance decreases and dissipation factor (tg) increases with higher frequencies.
Storage: Capacitors stored for extended periods may have increased leakage current and reduced voltage withstanding. Apply rated DC voltage gradually before use after long storage.
Case Insulation: The capacitor case is not insulated from the cathode terminal. Insulation measures are required at the mounting point if case insulation is necessary.
Terminal Force: Avoid applying excessive force to terminals and leads to prevent breakage or internal damage.
Soldering: Keep soldering irons away from the plastic sleeve. Recommended solder bath temperature is within 260C for no more than 10 seconds.
Cleaning: Do not use halogenated solvents (e.g., trichloroethylene, xylene, acetone). Recommended cleaning solvents include methanol, isopropanol, ethanol, etc.
Circuit Board Layout: Ensure hole spacing on the PCB matches lead spacing to avoid stress on leads. Consider hole layout to prevent solder splashing.
