  • 5% Tolerance: 3-digit code. First two digits are significant figures of resistance, third digit is the power of 10 multiplier.
  • 0.1%, 0.5%, 1% Tolerance: 4-digit code. First three digits are significant figures of resistance, fourth digit is the power of 10 multiplier.
  • 0 Ohm Products: Marked as '000'.
  • Resistance below 10: Indicated with 'R' (e.g., 5R6 = 5.6).
  • Resistance below 100 (for 1%): Indicated with decimal (e.g., 6R81 = 6.81).
  • 0603 1% E96 Series: Uses a 3-digit code due to small body size.
  • 0603 1% E24 Series (not E96): Marking is the same as 5% tolerance but with an underline.
