Cautions

  • Application: Intended for ordinary electronic equipment. Consult Liteon's Sales for applications requiring exceptional reliability (e.g., aviation, medical, safety systems).
  • Storage (Sealed Package): Store at 30C and 90% RH. Use within one year of packaging.
  • Storage (Opened Package): Store at 30C and 60% RH. Recommended IR-reflow within one week. For extended storage, use a sealed container with desiccant or nitrogen ambient. Bake at ~60C for at least 20 hours before assembly if stored for more than a week.
  • Cleaning: Use alcohol-based solvents like isopropyl alcohol. Avoid unspecified chemical liquids.
  • Soldering: Refer to recommended soldering conditions (Reflow soldering, Soldering iron). Adhere to JEDEC standards and solder paste manufacturer's specifications.
  • Drive Method: LEDs are current-operated. Use a current limiting resistor in series with each LED for intensity uniformity in parallel circuits.
  • ESD (Electrostatic Discharge): Static electricity can damage LEDs. Use conductive wrist bands/gloves, ensure proper grounding of devices, equipment, and work areas. Use ion blowers. ESD-damaged LEDs may show abnormal characteristics (high reverse leakage, low forward voltage, no lightup).
