Ferrite EMI Cable Cores
Laird offers a range of ferrite EMI cable cores designed to attenuate electromagnetic interference across various frequency ranges. These cores are crucial for protecting electronics by suppressing unwanted noise. They are suitable for a wide array of applications in sectors including handset, telecommunications, IT, automotive, public safety, consumer, medical, rail, mining, and industrial markets. Laird's ferrite cores are available in high-performance materials that allow for smaller, lighter, and more cost-effective solutions compared to lower-performance alternatives. The selection of the appropriate ferrite material and core size is critical for effective EMI suppression. Cores should be installed near the noise source and can be configured for common mode or differential mode suppression. Additional turns through the core can increase impedance and shift the peak impedance to a lower frequency. Split, snap-on cores are available for applications where cables cannot be slid over ends.
