Ferrite EMI Cable Cores

Laird offers a range of ferrite EMI cable cores designed to suppress electromagnetic interference in electronic systems. These cores are optimized for various frequency ranges, including high frequency (HFB-), broadband (28B-), and low frequency (LF) applications. They are available in cylindrical and split/snap-on designs to accommodate different installation needs. Utilizing high-performance ferrite materials, these cores provide effective EMI suppression, allowing for smaller, lighter, and more cost-effective solutions compared to lower-performance materials. They are designed to be installed over cables and wiring harnesses, particularly near the noise source, and can be configured for common mode chokes to prevent saturation from high currents. Additional turns through a core increase impedance and shift the peak impedance to a slightly lower frequency. Split cores are available for applications where cables cannot be fed through one-piece cores, with some featuring snap-on plastic cases or metal clips for secure closure. Laird's products are lead-free and RoHS compliant.
