KOA RK73H Flat Chip Resistors (Precision Grade)

The KOA RK73H series are precision-grade flat chip resistors designed for high reliability applications. They feature a small size, light weight, and excellent heat and weather resistance due to their metal glaze thick film construction. The triple-layer electrode structure ensures high stability and reliability. These resistors are suitable for automated mounting processes and both flow and reflow soldering. They comply with EU-RoHS requirements for lead-free terminations. AEC-Q200 qualified (excluding 1F).

Precautions for Use

The substrate of chip resistors is alumina. Cracks may occur at the connection of solder (solder fillet portion) due to the difference of the coefficient of thermal expansion from the mounting board when heat stress like heat cycle, etc. are repeatedly applied. Care should be taken to the occurrence of cracks when ambient temperature changes or load ON/OFF is repeated, especially for large types (W2H/W3A/W3A2) which have large thermal expansion and self-heating. While general temperature cycle tests on glass-epoxy (FR-4) boards do not easily cause cracks in types 1F2E, types W2H/W3A/W3A2 tend to be more prone to cracking. Cracks caused by thermal stress depend on factors such as the size of the mounted pad, solder volume, and heat dissipation of the mounting board. Therefore, careful design is required when operating under conditions with significant ambient temperature variations or load ON/OFF cycles.

RK73H1F resistors may be damaged by static electricity generated during equipment assembly processes. Please exercise caution.
