Product Overview
The RK73H series are thick film (precision grade) flat chip resistors designed for high reliability and stability. They feature a small, lightweight form factor, excellent heat and weather resistance due to their metal glaze thick film construction, and a triple-layer electrode structure. These resistors are suitable for automatic mounting machines and are compatible with both flow and reflow soldering. They are RoHS compliant with lead-free terminations, and some models are AEC-Q200 qualified. Precautions for Use
- The substrate of chip resistors is alumina. Cracks may occur at the solder connection due to thermal expansion differences with the mounting board under repeated thermal stress. This is particularly a concern for larger sizes (W2H/W3A/W3A2) with greater thermal expansion and self-heating. Design considerations are needed for applications with significant ambient temperature fluctuations or load ON/OFF cycles.
- RK73H1F resistors may be damaged by static electricity generated during equipment assembly.
