Product Description

Product Overview

This product is a series of solid tantalum chip capacitors designed and manufactured for surface mount technology. Featuring a lower equivalent series resistance (ESR) compared to resin-encapsulated products, these capacitors are suitable for automatic surface mounting and are widely used in sophisticated military, computer, and mobile phone applications. They are designed to meet demanding requirements and are available in six case codes: P, A, B, C, D, and E. The product adheres to EIA535BAAC and QC300801, Q/YHC.45-01 technical standards.

Parameter Characteristics and Usage Guidelines

To ensure stable performance and reliability, proper usage is essential. Verify operating conditions and specified performance before use, adhering strictly to the specifications. Avoid applying reverse voltage or using in AC-only circuits. If reverse voltage is unavoidable, limited application is permissible under specific conditions (10%Ur or 1V at 25, 5%Ur or 0.5V at 85). Use within the specified ripple voltage limits, ensuring the sum of DC bias and AC peak does not exceed the rated voltage. Control instantaneous large currents by using series protection resistors (3/Vs) to limit current below 300mAs, or use voltage below 1/3 of rated voltage if resistors cannot be inserted. Operate within the specified ambient temperature range; derate voltage for temperatures above 85. For high-frequency circuits (above 10KHz), confirm circuit characteristics. Failure rate is dependent on usage conditions; select products after thorough review of these conditions. When mounting on PCBs, avoid excessive mechanical or thermal shock. Do not reuse dropped or previously installed capacitors. Avoid direct contact with terminals to prevent contamination. Cleaning should be rapid, with temperatures below 50 and total immersion time under 5 minutes. For soldering, use a soldering iron tip temperature below 350 for no more than 4 seconds, avoiding contact with the capacitor body. For chip products, avoid highly active or acidic fluxes. Reflow soldering conditions should be confirmed, with preheating under 160 for less than 2 minutes, and slow cooling after soldering.

Environment Restrictions

Do not use in environments with direct contact with water, brine, or oil; direct sunlight; high temperature and humidity causing condensation; exposure to reactive gases, acids, or bases; high-frequency wave induction; or excessive vibration or shock.
