Precautions for Use

  • Be aware of potential static electricity buildup on taping materials, especially in dry conditions or after prolonged vibration, which can lead to mounting failures or component damage.
  • Ionic impurities from flux, sweat, or saliva can degrade moisture and corrosion resistance, potentially causing electrical corrosion. Thorough cleaning is recommended, especially when using RMA solder/flux or lead-free solder.
  • Avoid direct contact of tape adhesives with the product when using heat-resistant masking tapes during mounting, as removal can cause exfoliation of top electrodes. High-pressure shower cleaning may also cause electrode exfoliation; evaluate products beforehand if unavoidable.
