Product Overview

The JIMSON (JS) MPC Series Capacitors are designed for high-performance applications in power electronics. These non-inductive capacitors feature a self-healing property and excellent moisture resistance, making them suitable for series/parallel resonant circuits, peak voltage and current absorption protection in switching devices, and high-performance DC filtering. Constructed with a polypropylene film dielectric and vacuum evaporated metal electrodes, they are encapsulated in a flame-retardant plastic case sealed with epoxy resin (UL94V-0 rated). Radial leads of tinned wire are electrically welded for terminal connection.

Storage & Handling

  • Storage Conditions: Avoid exposure to atmospheric pollutants (hydrogen chloride, hydrogen sulfide, sulfuric acid) which degrade solderability. Do not expose to high temperature and high humidity.
  • Soldering Suggestion: Maximum Soldering Temperature: Pre-heating 105 (1min), Soldering 270 (4s).
  • Salt Fog Test: For tin-plated copper-coated steel leads, test salt mist after wave peak welding.
