Operating Precautions
Polarity: Do not reverse polarity to prevent shortened lifespan or short circuits.
Prohibited Circuits: Not for use in high impedance, coupling, time constant circuits, series connections for higher withstand voltage, or circuits sensitive to leakage current variations. Contact manufacturer for use in time constant circuits or series connections.
Over Voltage: Do not exceed rated voltage, even for an instant, to avoid short circuits.
Sudden Charge/Discharge: Avoid sudden charge and discharge. Use protection circuits if rush current exceeds 10A or 10x allowable ripple current. Use a 1k resistor for charge/discharge when measuring leakage current.
Operating Temperature and Ripple Current: Exceeding upper temperature limits or excessive ripple current can shorten lifespan or cause failure.
Leakage Current: May increase slightly due to soldering. DC voltage application allows self-repair and gradual reduction.
Applied Voltage: Recommended applied voltage is less than 80% of rated voltage. Peak DC and AC voltage should not exceed rated voltage.
