Operating Precautions

  • Polarity: Do not reverse polarity.
  • Prohibited Circuits: Avoid high impedance, coupling, time constant, series connection for higher withstand voltage, and circuits sensitive to leakage current.
  • Over Voltage: Do not exceed rated voltage.
  • Sudden Charge and Discharge: Restricted. A protection circuit is recommended if rush current exceeds 10A or 10x allowable ripple current.
  • Operating Temperature and Ripple Current: Exceeding limits can shorten life or increase leakage current.
  • Leakage Current: May increase slightly due to soldering, but self-repairs with DC voltage.
  • Applied Voltage: Recommended less than 80% of rated voltage. Peak DC and AC voltage should not exceed rated voltage.
