Operating Precautions
- Polarity: Do not reverse polarity to avoid shortened lifespan due to increased leakage current or short circuits.
- Prohibited Circuits: Avoid use in high impedance, coupling, time constant, series connection for higher withstand voltage, or circuits sensitive to leakage current.
- Overvoltage: Do not exceed the rated voltage, even momentarily, to prevent short circuits.
- Sudden Charge/Discharge: Avoid sudden charge and discharge. Use protection circuits if rush current exceeds 10A or 10x allowable ripple current. A 1k resistor is recommended for leakage current measurement.
- Operating Temperature and Ripple Current: Exceeding the upper temperature limit or allowable ripple current can shorten lifespan or cause failure.
- Leakage Current: Leakage current may slightly increase after soldering but can self-repair with DC voltage application.
- Applied Voltage: For reliability, apply less than 80% of the rated voltage. Peak DC and AC voltage should not exceed the rated voltage.
