Application Scenarios and Advantages
These high voltage ceramic capacitors, particularly those with the N4700 military-grade ceramic dielectric material, are designed for high-end medical electronic equipment such as CT scanners, medical X-ray machines, C-arms, DR machines, dental X-ray machines, airport security, non-destructive testing, and electrostatic dust removal equipment. The company also produces bolt-type ceramic capacitors with N4700 material, ranging from 10KV to 150KV, encapsulated in black epoxy resin. Key clients include global leaders like General Electric, Konica Minolta, Hitachi ABB, Nikon, Siemens, Johnson & Johnson, and Baker Hughes. The company's manufacturing philosophy is to produce high-quality electronic components that meet international industrial standards using Chinese military-grade materials. They have successfully filled market gaps created by other brands' withdrawal from the market due to commercial and pandemic reasons, meeting the demands of international high-voltage equipment customers.
Cautionary Notes
Operating Voltage: Maintain Vp-p or Vo-p within the rated voltage range for DC-rated capacitors in AC or ripple current circuits. Account for irregular voltages during circuit startup/shutdown.
Operating Temperature and Self-Generated Heat: Keep surface temperature below the rated operating temperature. Consider self-generated heat due to dielectric loss, especially in high-frequency or pulse current applications. Applied voltage should limit self-generated heat to within 5C at 25C ambient. Use a thermocouple of small thermal capacity for measurement, avoiding external heat sources and wind. Excessive heat degrades characteristics and reliability.
Operating and Storage Environment: Avoid corrosive atmospheres (chloride gas, sulfide gas, acid, alkali, salt) and moisture. Ensure at least 3mm of insulating media (e.g., epoxy resin, silicone oil) around the capacitor. Verify cleaning, bonding, or molding processes do not affect product quality. Store between -10C to 40C and 15% to 85% relative humidity. Use within 6 months of delivery.
Vibration and Impact: Avoid excessive shock or vibration.
Soldering: Do not exceed solder heat resistance specifications (400C max. iron tip, 50W max. wattage, 3.5s max. time) to prevent internal junction solder melting and thermal shock. Failure to comply may result in short circuits, fuming, or partial dispersion.
Limitation of Applications: Contact HVC before using products in applications requiring extremely high reliability for the prevention of damage to third-party life, body, or property, including aircraft, aerospace, undersea, power plant control, medical, transportation, traffic signal, disaster/crime prevention, data-processing equipment, and similar applications.
Cleaning: For ultrasonic cleaning, observe conditions: rinse bath capacity 20 watts/liter, rinsing time 5 min. Do not vibrate the PCB/PWB directly.
Capacitance Change: Class 1 capacitors may show slight capacitance changes with temperature or voltage. Class 2 and 3 capacitors (e.g., temperature characteristic B, E, F) exhibit aging and significant changes with temperature/voltage, making them unsuitable for strict time constant circuits. Company Profile
HVC Capacitor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a Hong Kong-funded enterprise established in January 2012. It is an export-oriented brand founded by a Taiwanese manufacturer with over 20 years of experience in high-voltage ceramic products. The production base is located in Humen, Dongguan, with 95% of products exported. HVC specializes in high-voltage ceramic capacitors, including blue ceramic disc types and bolt-type ceramic capacitors. Their ceramic disc capacitors offer voltages from 2KV to 50KV, featuring the patented N4700 military-grade ceramic dielectric material (6KV to 40KV). These are primarily used in high-end medical electronic equipment. The bolt-type ceramic disc capacitors, featuring the N4700 material, cover a voltage range of 10KV to 150KV and are encapsulated in black epoxy resin. Major clients include Fortune 500 companies and Nasdaq-listed medical equipment companies. HVC's business philosophy is to produce high-quality electronic components that meet foreign high-end industrial standards using Chinese military-grade materials. Since 2017, HVC has effectively addressed market supply gaps and met the demands of international high-voltage equipment customers. Starting in 2018, HVC expanded its product lines to include high-voltage diodes and high-voltage thick-film resistors through acquisitions and collaborations, gaining recognition from high-voltage equipment customers. HVC has international distributors in Germany, France, the UK, the USA, Japan, South Korea, India, and Russia, and also has Chinese distributors to serve foreign-funded factories in China. HVC aims to become a well-known emerging brand in the high-voltage electronic components industry.
International Distribution
HVC Capacitor has overseas distributors in Germany, France, the UK, the USA, Japan, South Korea, India, and Russia. To cater to the needs of foreign-funded factories in the Chinese market, China distributors have also been established. Both domestic and international distributors are assigned by HVC to follow up with key local customers. The company's goal is to become a well-known emerging brand in the high-voltage electronic components industry.
