Usage Precautions:

  1. Polarity: Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are polarized. Ensure correct polarity during installation to prevent short circuits or damage. Use non-polarized capacitors for circuits with uncertain polarity.
  2. Voltage: Do not apply reverse voltage or DC voltage exceeding the rated voltage. Exceeding the rated voltage significantly increases leakage current and can cause damage. Recommended to operate at rated voltage for optimal lifespan. Surge voltage is the maximum voltage the capacitor can withstand for short durations.
  3. Ripple Current: Ripple current should be kept below the rated value. Exceeding the rated ripple current causes overheating, capacitance reduction, and shortened lifespan. The sum of the ripple voltage peak and DC voltage should not exceed the rated working voltage.
  4. Temperature: Operate within the rated temperature range (-40 to +105). Operating above the upper limit can drastically reduce lifespan or activate the safety vent. Operating at room temperature ensures a longer lifespan. For every 10 decrease in ambient temperature, the lifespan doubles.
  5. Storage and Leakage Current: Prolonged storage, especially at higher temperatures, can increase leakage current. If leakage current is critical to the circuit, pre-charging the capacitor before use is recommended.
  6. Frequent Charge/Discharge: Not suitable for circuits with frequent charge/discharge cycles, as this can lead to capacitance reduction due to negative electrode oxidation or damage from generated heat.
  7. Installation Stress: Improper installation or stress on lead wires can damage the internal structure, leading to high leakage current or leakage. Ensure good soldering, correct PCB hole spacing, and avoid bending or twisting lead wires or the capacitor body.
  8. Soldering/Dipping: Prolonged or excessive heat during tin dipping or soldering can cause the sleeve to crack or shrink.
  9. Cleaning: Do not use halogenated organic solvents for cleaning. If cleaning is necessary, use approved cleaning agents and dry the capacitor and PCB with hot air (not exceeding the upper temperature limit) for at least 10 minutes after cleaning.
  10. Fixatives/Coatings: Avoid using halogenated organic fixatives or coating agents. Do not seal the capacitor's vent with these substances.
  11. Storage Recommendations: Store in an environment below 35 with relative humidity less than 75% RH, away from direct sunlight. The product's shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. After 12 months, check electrical characteristics and solderability.
