Usage Precautions
- Polarized: Ensure correct polarity to avoid short circuits or damage. Use non-polarized capacitors if polarity is uncertain.
- Voltage Limits: Do not apply reverse voltage or DC voltage exceeding the rated voltage. Recommended to operate at rated voltage for optimal lifespan. Surge voltage is the maximum voltage the capacitor can withstand for a short period.
- Ripple Current: Keep ripple current below the rated value to prevent overheating, capacity reduction, and shortened lifespan. The sum of ripple voltage peak and DC voltage should not exceed the rated working voltage.
- Temperature Range: Operate within the rated temperature range (-40 to +105) for optimal lifespan. Operating at the upper limit significantly reduces lifespan; lower ambient temperatures double the lifespan for every 10 decrease.
- Storage: High storage temperatures increase leakage current. Store in a cool environment. Leakage current will decrease after applying voltage. Pre-charge if high leakage current affects the circuit.
- Frequent Charge/Discharge: Not suitable for circuits with frequent charge/discharge cycles due to potential capacity reduction and damage from heat.
- Installation Stress: Avoid applying stress to leads during installation (soldering, PCB hole spacing, bending leads, or bending the capacitor body) to prevent internal damage, high leakage current, or leakage.
- Soldering/Tin Dipping: Prolonged or excessive heat during soldering can cause sleeve cracking or shrinkage.
- Cleaning: Do not use halogenated organic solvents for cleaning. If cleaning is necessary, use a cleaner that guarantees capacitor quality. Dry with hot air (not exceeding the upper temperature limit) for at least 10 minutes after cleaning.
- Fixing/Coating Agents: Avoid using halogenated organic series fixing agents and coating agents. Do not seal the capacitor's sealing area with these agents.
- Storage Recommendations: Store in an environment below 35, with relative humidity less than 75% RH, and out of direct sunlight. Shelf life is 12 months. Check electrical characteristics and solderability if stored beyond 12 months.
