Usage Precautions

Polarity: Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are polarized. Ensure correct polarity during installation to prevent short circuits or damage. Use non-polarized capacitors if reverse polarity is possible.

Voltage: Do not apply reverse voltage or DC voltage exceeding the rated voltage. Using capacitors at their rated voltage ensures optimal lifespan. Surge voltage is the maximum voltage the capacitor can withstand for a short duration.

Ripple Current: Ensure ripple current is below the rated value. Exceeding the rated ripple current can cause overheating, capacitance reduction, and shortened lifespan. The sum of the peak ripple voltage and DC voltage should not exceed the rated working voltage.

Temperature: Operate within the rated temperature range (-40 to +105). Operating above the upper limit can significantly reduce lifespan or trigger the safety vent. Operating at lower temperatures extends lifespan; each 10 decrease can double the lifespan.

Storage & Leakage Current: Long-term storage can increase leakage current, especially at higher storage temperatures. Leakage current decreases after voltage is applied. If high leakage current affects the circuit, pre-charge the capacitor before use.

Frequent Charging/Discharging: Not suitable for circuits with frequent charge/discharge cycles, as this can lead to capacitance reduction due to anode oxidation film degradation or damage from generated heat.

Installation: Avoid mechanical stress on leads or the capacitor body during installation. Ensure good soldering, proper PCB hole spacing, do not bend leads excessively, and avoid bending or twisting the capacitor body during soldering.

Soldering/Cleaning: Prolonged exposure to high temperatures during soldering can damage the sleeve. Do not use halogenated organic cleaning agents. If cleaning is necessary, use approved agents and dry with hot air (not exceeding the upper temperature limit) for at least 10 minutes.

Fixatives/Coatings: Avoid using fixatives or coatings containing halogenated organic compounds, especially those that cover the sealing area.

Disposal: Contact local industrial waste disposal services for proper disposal.
