Usage Precautions

  • Polarity: Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are polarized; ensure correct connection. Use non-polarized capacitors if reverse polarity is possible.
  • Voltage: Do not apply reverse voltage or DC voltage exceeding the rated voltage. Using within the rated voltage ensures longevity.
  • Ripple Current: Keep ripple current below the rated value to prevent overheating, capacitance reduction, and shortened lifespan. The sum of ripple voltage peak and DC voltage must be less than the rated working voltage.
  • Temperature: Operate within the rated temperature range. Exceeding the upper limit significantly reduces lifespan. Lowering ambient temperature by 10 can double the lifespan.
  • Storage: High storage temperatures increase leakage current. If leakage current is problematic, pre-charge the capacitor before use.
  • Frequent Charge/Discharge: Not suitable for circuits with frequent charge/discharge cycles due to potential capacity reduction and damage.
  • Installation: Avoid stress on leads during installation or soldering to prevent internal damage, high leakage current, or leakage.
  • Soldering: Prolonged exposure to high temperatures during soldering may damage the sleeve.
  • Cleaning: Do not use halogenated organic solvents. If cleaning is necessary, use approved agents and dry the capacitor with hot air (not exceeding the upper limit temperature) for at least 10 minutes.
  • Coating/Fixing Agents: Avoid using halogenated organic series fixing agents and coating agents. Do not seal the capacitor's sealing area.
  • Recommended Storage: Store in an environment below 35, with relative humidity less than 75% RH, and out of direct sunlight. The product's shelf life is 12 months. Check electrical characteristics and solderability if stored beyond this period.
  • Disposal: Contact a local industrial waste disposal provider for end-of-life disposal.
