Usage Precautions

  • Polarity sensitive; ensure correct connection to avoid short circuits or damage. Use non-polar capacitors if polarity is uncertain or may reverse.
  • Do not apply reverse voltage or DC voltage exceeding the rated voltage. Operating within the rated voltage ensures longevity.
  • Ripple current should be kept below the rated value to prevent overheating, capacitance reduction, and shortened lifespan. The sum of the peak ripple voltage and DC voltage must be less than the rated working voltage.
  • Operate within the rated temperature range. Exceeding the upper limit can significantly shorten lifespan or activate the safety vent. Lower operating temperatures extend lifespan.
  • Long-term storage may increase leakage current, especially at higher temperatures. Leakage current will decrease after voltage application. Pre-charge if high leakage current affects the circuit.
  • Not suitable for circuits with frequent charge/discharge cycles due to potential capacitance reduction or damage from heat generation.
  • Improper installation or stress on leads can cause internal damage, leading to high leakage current or leakage. Ensure good soldering, appropriate PCB hole spacing, and avoid bending leads or the capacitor body during soldering.
  • Soldering time and temperature may cause sleeve damage (cracking or shrinkage).
  • Do not clean with halogenated organic solvents. If cleaning is necessary, use a cleaner that guarantees capacitor quality. Do not store in cleaning solution or sealed containers after cleaning. Dry with hot air (not exceeding the upper temperature limit) for at least 10 minutes.
  • Avoid using halogenated organic series fixing agents and coatings. Do not seal the capacitor's sealing area with fixing agents or coatings.
  • Recommended storage conditions: temperature up to 35, relative humidity less than 75% RH, out of direct sunlight. Shelf life is 12 months. Check electrical characteristics and solderability if stored beyond 12 months.
  • Dispose of waste capacitors according to local industrial waste regulations.
