Derating Curve Rated power is the maximum value for continuous operation at 70. Power consumption is reduced according to the curve when exceeding 70.
Fusing Characteristic Definition: When a specified overload is applied to the resistor, the resistance increases significantly; when the current flowing through the resistor drops to below 1/50 of the initial test current, it is called fusing. The time required from the application of the specified overload to fusing is called fusing time. This performance is called fusing characteristic.
Fusing Time Requirement Under specified rated current overload conditions, fusing time should comply with the table. (See Table 3-1 for standard and high lightning surge types, Table 3-2 for explosion-proof types, Table 3-3 for semi-fusing types). Fusing time can be manufactured according to user requirements.
Impact Resistance According to Figure 3, close switch K1, open switch K2. Repeatedly switch K1 on and off 100 times with the requirement of 2S on and 2S off. The test resistor should not be open-circuited. (Capacitor C capacity is selected based on customer requirements, default C=10uf. Resistor R value is selected based on the circuit, converted to internal resistance, rated power 20W, power factor 0.8, resistors below 10W generally take 20W, 5.1K(5%)).

Main Test Items, Test Methods, and Performance Requirements

2 Short-time Overload Apply 2.5 times the rated voltage to the resistor for 5S, then measure resistance after 1-2h recovery and calculate the resistance change rate. Resistance change: R(2%R+0.05)
3 Solderability Dip the leads of the resistor into a solder pot at (2605) for 20.5S, with an immersion depth of 2+0/-0.5mm from the component body. Observe the solder coverage area after removal. Surface coverage in the circumferential direction of the immersed part is over 90%.
4 Voltage Proof Place the resistor in a metal "V" groove. Apply the specified insulation voltage between the connected leads and the "V" groove for 60S. No visible damage to the appearance, clear markings; no breakdown, arcing.
5 Resistance to Soldering Heat Measure resistance before the test. Dip the leads of the resistor into a solder pot at (35010) for 3.50.5S, with an immersion depth of 2+0/-0.5mm from the component body. Measure resistance after 1h recovery and calculate the resistance change rate. Resistance change: R(1%R+0.05)
6 Rapid Temperature Change One cycle: Low temperature: -553 for 30 minutes, room temperature for 2-3 minutes, high temperature: 1553 for 30 minutes, room temperature for 2-3 minutes. Perform 5 cycles, then measure resistance after 1-2h recovery and calculate the resistance change rate. Resistance change: R(1%R+0.05)
7 Durability Place the resistor in a constant temperature oven at (703). Apply rated DC voltage, 1.5h on, 0.5h off, cycle for 1000h. Measure resistance after 1-4h recovery and calculate the resistance change rate. Resistance change: R(5%R+0.1)
8 Lead Strength Tensile: Apply a 10N force for 10S; Bending: Apply a 5N load to the lead, tilt the resistor body about 90 within (2-3)S, then bend in the opposite direction after recovery, total 2 bends. Resistance change: R(1%R+0.05)
9 Vibration Distance between resistor body and mounting point is 61mm. Vibration frequency range 10-500Hz, amplitude: 0.75mm or acceleration 98m/s (whichever is smaller). Vibration direction along Z, X, Y axes for 2h each, total 6h. Cycle: 1min (10-55-10Hz). Measure resistance after test and calculate resistance change rate. 1) Appearance: No mechanical damage. 2) Resistance change: R(1%R+0.05)
10 Climatic Sequence Dry heat; Cyclic damp heat, test Db, first cycle; Cold; Low pressure; Cyclic damp heat, test Db, remaining cycles; DC load. Resistance change: R(5%R+0.1). Insulation resistance: 100M.
11 Accidental Overload Mount the test sample inside a single-layer wire mesh cylinder at a distance of 253mm from the resistor body. Apply 5, 10, 16 times rated power overload for 5min or until the resistor becomes open-circuited. Wire mesh cylinder does not ignite.
