Derating Curve: Rated power is the maximum continuous operating value at 70. Power derating is required above 70 according to the curve (Figure 2).
Fusing Characteristic: Defined as significant increase in resistance when subjected to specified overload, causing current to drop below 1/50 of the initial test current. Fusing time is the duration from overload application to fusing. This characteristic is detailed in Tables 3-1, 3-2, and 3-3 based on type and rated current multiples.
Impact Resistance: Tested by repeatedly switching a circuit (2s on, 2s off) for 100 cycles without open circuit failure (Figure 3).
