Technical Specifications
| Item | Description |
| Polarity | DC electrolytic capacitors are polarized. Ensure correct polarity to prevent short circuits or damage. Use bipolar capacitors for uncertain polarity. Not suitable for AC applications. |
| Bipolar Capacitors | Suitable for pulse circuits and polarity reverse circuits only. Not applicable in pure AC or high ripple current circuits. |
| Operating Voltage | Do not exceed rated voltage. Recommended working voltage is 70-80% of rated voltage for extended life. |
| Ripple Current | Do not allow ripple current to exceed permissible limits. Excessive ripple current causes heating, capacitance reduction, and damage. Generally, not more than 80% of rated current. |
| Circuit Application | For circuits with rapid charge/discharge cycles, use specially designed capacitors to prevent damage, capacitance decrease, and heat rise. |
| Operating Temperature | Capacitor characteristics vary with temperature. Lower operating temperatures ensure longer life. |
| Temperature and Life Relationship | Life is approximately doubled for every 10C reduction in temperature from the rated temperature. Formula provided for calculation. |
| Operating Frequency | Capacitance is typically measured at 100Hz or 120Hz. Capacitance decreases and tg increases with rising frequency, leading to higher ambient temperature. |
| Storage | For capacitors stored for a long time, leakage current may increase and withstand voltage may decrease. Before use, gradually apply DC voltage up to the rated voltage. |
| Case Insulation | The capacitor case is not insulated from the cathode terminal. If insulation is required, implement it at the mounting point. |
| Mechanical Handling | Do not apply excessive force to terminals or leads to prevent breakage, separation, or internal connection failure. Maintain a 2mm safe spacing when bending leads to a horizontal state to avoid internal structural damage. |
| Cleaning | Avoid halogenated solvents (e.g., trichlorethylene, xylene, acetone). Recommended solvents: methanol, isopropanol, ethanol, isobutanol, petroleum ether, propanol, and general detergents. |
| Soldering | Keep soldering irons away from plastic sleeves. Recommended solder bath temperature is within 260C for no more than 10 seconds to prevent damage. |
| PCB Hole Layout | Ensure hole spacing on the circuit board matches lead spacing to avoid stress on leads. Consider hole layout carefully to prevent solder splashing onto the capacitor body. |
