Soldering Temperature and Notes

Lead-free Wave Soldering:

  • PCB main surface preheating temperature ramp-up rate: 2-3/sec.
  • PCB main surface preheating duration: approximately 120 seconds.
  • PCB main surface preheating temperature range: 90-130.
  • PCB underside maximum preheating temperature: not exceeding 130.
  • Temperature difference between wave crest and preheating zone: not greater than 150.
  • Wave soldering pot temperature: 250-260.
  • Wave trough temperature (for dual wave): preferably not lower than 217. The temperature difference between two wave crests should not exceed 60 to prevent secondary soldering.
  • Soldering time (dual wave): Wave "I" controlled between 0.5-2s, Wave "II" controlled between 1.5-4s, total time: 2-6s. Single wave time controlled between 2-6s.
  • Cooling zone slope: generally refers to the average negative slope of -4 to -2/s from the highest temperature down to 90.

Soldering Iron Soldering:

  • Maximum temperature: 350 5.
  • Soldering time: 3 0.5 seconds.
