Technical Specifications
| Item | Description |
| 1. Polarity | DC electrolytic capacitors are polarized. Ensure correct polarity to avoid short circuits or damage. Use bipolar capacitors for uncertain polarity. Not suitable for AC applications. |
| 2. Bipolar Capacitors | Suitable for pulse and polarity reverse circuits. Not for pure AC or high ripple current circuits. |
| 3. Voltage | Do not exceed rated voltage. Recommended working voltage is 70-80% of rated voltage for extended life. |
| 4. Ripple Current | Do not exceed permissible ripple current to prevent overheating, capacitance reduction, and damage. Generally, not more than 80% of rated current. |
| 5. Charge/Discharge Circuits | Use specially designed capacitors for circuits with rapid charge and discharge cycles to prevent damage and premature failure. |
| 6. Operating Temperature | Capacitor characteristics vary with temperature. Lower temperatures ensure longer life. |
| 7. Temperature & Life Relationship | Life doubles for every 10C reduction in temperature from the rated temperature. Formula provided for calculation: Ls = L0 * 2^((T0-Tx)/10) * (I0/Ix)^m |
| 8. Operating Frequency | Capacitance measured at 100Hz or 120Hz. Capacitance decreases and tg increases with higher frequencies, leading to increased ambient temperature. |
| 9. Long-Term Storage | Capacitors stored for extended periods may have increased leakage current and reduced withstand voltage. Apply rated DC voltage gradually before use. |
| 10. Case Insulation | Capacitor case is not insulated from the cathode terminal. Insulate at the mounting point if case insulation is required. |
| 11. Force on Terminals/Leads | Avoid excessive force on terminals and leads to prevent breakage, separation, and internal connection failure. |
| 12. Bending Leads | Maintain a 2mm safe spacing from the capacitor body when bending leads to a horizontal state to prevent internal structural damage. |
| 13. Cleaning | Use recommended solvents (Methanol, Isopropanol, Ethanol, Isobutanol, Petroleum Ether, Propanol, detergents) for cleaning circuit boards. Avoid halogenated solvents (trichlorethylene, xylene, acetone). |
| 14. Soldering | Maintain distance from plastic sleeves. Recommended soldering temperature: within 260C for no more than 10 seconds. |
| 15. Hole Layout | Ensure hole spacing on circuit boards matches lead spacing to avoid stress on leads. Consider hole layout to prevent solder splashing onto the capacitor. |
