Testing Conditions and Methods:
- Visual Inspection: 100% inspection for deformation, damage, dents, cracks, burrs, foreign matter, delamination, or metallization detachment.
- Room Temperature Test: 100% testing at room temperature to ensure electrical parameters meet Table 2 specifications.
- Sampling Plan (Table 3): For capacitance, dissipation factor, insulation resistance, dielectric withstand voltage, dimensions, appearance, and solderability.
- Inspection Methods (Table 4):
- Capacitance: Tested at 1MHz50KHz (Class I 1000pF, Class II 100pF) or 1KHz50Hz (Class I >1nF, Class II 100pF < C 10uF).
- Dissipation Factor: Tested at 1MHz50KHz or 1KHz50Hz, with specific requirements for Class I and Class II (X7R, X5R) based on capacitance and voltage.
- Insulation Resistance: Tested between terminals at rated voltage (UR500V) or 500V (UR>500V), reading time 2min.
- Dielectric Withstand Voltage: Applied voltage varies based on rated voltage (2.5UR to 1.2UR), duration (51)s, surge current 50mA. Capacitor should show no breakdown, arcing, or visible damage.
- Dimensions: Checked with appropriate precision measuring tools (refer to Table 1).
- Appearance: Visual or 10x microscope inspection for defects.
- Solderability: Immersion in solder bath at 2455 for 2s. Tinning rate >90%.
