Testing and Inspection

Visual Inspection: 100% inspection for deformation, damage, dents, cracks, burrs, foreign matter, delamination, or peeling of metallization layer.

Normal Temperature Test: 100% testing at room temperature to ensure electrical parameters meet Table 2 specifications.

Sampling Plan: Sample sizes for capacitance, dissipation factor, insulation resistance, dielectric withstand voltage, dimensions, appearance, and solderability are determined by batch size as per Table 3.

Inspection Methods:

  • Capacitance: Tested at 1MHz50KHz (Class I 1000pF, Class II 100pF) or 1KHz50Hz (Class I >1nF, Class II 100pF < C 10uF).
  • Dissipation Factor: Tested at 1MHz50KHz (Class I 1000pF, Class II 100pF) or 1KHz50Hz (Class I >1nF, Class II 100pF < C 10uF). Requirements vary by dielectric type and capacitance.
  • Insulation Resistance: Tested between terminals at rated voltage (UR500V) or 500V (UR>500V). Reading time 2min. Requirements vary by dielectric type and capacitance.
  • Dielectric Withstand Voltage: Applied voltage is 2.5UR (UR200V), 2UR (UR=250V), 1.5UR (500VUR<1000V), or 1.2UR (1000V). Duration: (51)s. Surge current 50mA. Capacitors should show no breakdown, arcing, or visible damage.
  • Dimensions: Checked with appropriate precision measuring tools.
  • Appearance: Visual inspection under adequate light or 10x microscope.
  • Solderability: Capacitor immersed in solder bath (2455 for 2s). Tinning rate >90%.

Storage Conditions

Storage Period: One year. Recommended to use within 6 months of purchase to ensure solderability.

Storage Temperature: -10 to 40

Storage Humidity: 30% to 70% RH
