Testing Conditions and Methods

Appearance Inspection
  • Visual inspection or with a 5-10x magnifying glass for 100% of products.
  • Checks for deformation, damage, dents, cracks, burrs on edges, foreign matter adhesion, delamination, or peeling of metallization on terminals.
Room Temperature Testing
  • 100% tested at room temperature according to product requirements.
  • Electrical parameters must comply with Table 2.
Sampling Inspection
  • Capacitance, dissipation factor, insulation resistance, dielectric withstand voltage, dimensions, appearance, and solderability are sampled.
  • Sampling plan based on batch size as per Table 3. Solderability samples can be electrical non-conforming products from Table 2 testing.

Dimensions Check external dimensions with measuring tools of appropriate accuracy. See Table 1.
Appearance Visual inspection under appropriate lighting or with a 10x microscope. Appearance should be free of dents, cracks, edge burrs, foreign matter adhesion, delamination, or peeling of terminal metallization.
Solderability Immerse the entire capacitor 10-15mm into the solder liquid.
Solder Temperature: 2455, Time: 2s.
Tinning rate should be greater than 90%.
