Product Overview: The CL21X/MES series capacitors are ultra-miniature, epoxy-encapsulated metallized polyester film capacitors with a lead pitch of P=5. They feature a non-inductive winding structure and are widely used in communication equipment, tape recorders, televisions, VCDs, and various electronic devices for DC and pulsating circuits. These capacitors offer excellent self-healing properties, good stability, and high reliability.

Usage Rules:

  • Usage Range: Do not exceed the upper category temperature, avoid overload, and do not exceed the maximum pulse current.
  • Operation Precautions: Avoid repeated squeezing at the lead root, and be mindful of the lead tip.
  • Soldering: Be aware that heat transfer through leads can affect capacitor performance. Ensure soldering temperatures and times are within specified limits:
    • Wave Soldering (MPE): Peak Temperature (TP) 125 for 120 seconds; Sustained Temperature (Ts) 160 for 45 seconds.
    • Soldering Iron: Tip temperature not exceeding 350 for no more than 3 seconds.
    • Lead film capacitors are not suitable for reflow soldering.

Maximum Allowable Voltage (Vrms) vs. Frequency Curve: Note: Typical values are tested under sinusoidal voltage, ambient temperature 85, and internal temperature rise T=15.
