Product Overview

The CBB81/PPS series high-voltage metallized polypropylene film/foil capacitors (impregnated type) are designed for high-voltage, high-frequency pulse circuits. They feature a metallized film and aluminum foil composite with an internal non-inductive structure, utilizing tin-plated copper wire or tin-plated copper-clad steel wire for connections. Encased in flame-retardant epoxy resin powder, these capacitors offer low loss, low internal temperature rise, and high dv/dt and overcurrent capabilities. Typical applications include deflection circuits in TVs and monitors (S-correction and flyback waveforms), electronic ballasts, energy-saving lamps, absorption circuits, and SCR rectifier circuits.

Usage Rules

  • Operating Range: Do not exceed upper category temperature limit; avoid overload; do not exceed maximum pulse current.
  • Handling Precautions: Avoid repeated squeezing at the lead root; pay attention to lead tip.
  • Soldering:
    • Wave Soldering (MPP Film Capacitors): TP ≤ 110°C for 120s; Ts ≤ 120°C for 45s. For P ≤ 7.5mm, T ≤ 4mm, soldering time < 4 seconds.
    • Soldering Iron: Tip temperature not exceeding 350°C for a maximum of 3 seconds.
    • Not suitable for reflow soldering.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in original packaging.
  • Temperature: Max 35°C.
  • Relative Humidity: Max 80%.
  • Storage time: Maximum 12 months from the production date marked on the packaging.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to air which can degrade lead solderability.
  • Do not store in high temperature or high humidity environments.
