Product Overview

The MPX X2 series capacitors are designed for EMI suppression in power supplies. Featuring a metallized polypropylene film construction with a non-inductive winding, these capacitors offer excellent self-healing properties and high voltage surge capability. They are encapsulated in UL94V-0 flame-retardant plastic cases and epoxy resin, making them suitable for applications where capacitor failure would not pose a shock hazard. Typical applications include interference suppressors and X-line capacitor circuits.

Soldering Guidelines

  • Wave Soldering: For polypropylene film capacitors: TP 110C; Ts 120C, 45 seconds. For polypropylene film capacitors with P 7.5mm, T 4mm, wave soldering time < 4 seconds.
  • Soldering Iron: Tip temperature not exceeding 350C, soldering time not exceeding 3 seconds.
  • Capacitors with printed lines are not suitable for reflow soldering.
