The CBB21/MPP series metallized polypropylene film capacitor is an epoxy-encapsulated, non-inductive wound type capacitor. It features a self-healing capability due to its metallized polypropylene film construction and a low loss design, resulting in minimal internal temperature rise. The capacitor is encapsulated with flame-retardant epoxy resin powder. It is widely used in DC blocking, coupling, decoupling, filtering, bypassing, and other high-frequency, DC, AC, and pulse circuits in electronic equipment.

Storage Conditions

Usage Rules

  • Usage Range:
    • Do not exceed the upper limit category temperature during use.
    • Avoid overload operation.
    • Do not exceed the maximum pulse current during use.
  • Handling Precautions:
    • Avoid repeated squeezing at the lead root.
    • Be mindful of the lead tip.
  • Soldering:
    • Solder heat can transfer to the capacitor core through lead terminals and encapsulation layers. Care must be taken to avoid degradation or damage due to high temperatures and prolonged soldering times.
    • Wave Soldering: TP 110 for 120 seconds; Ts 120 for 45 seconds. For MPP capacitors with P 7.5mm and T 4mm, soldering time should be < 4 seconds.
    • Soldering Iron: Tip temperature should not exceed 350, and soldering time should not exceed 3 seconds.
    • Lead-type film capacitors are not suitable for reflow soldering.
    • Ts: Maximum temperature the capacitor body can withstand during wave soldering.
    • Tp: Maximum preheating temperature the capacitor body can withstand.
