Product Overview

The DGCX X2 series of metallized polypropylene film capacitors are designed for suppressing electromagnetic interference (EMI) in power supply applications. These capacitors feature a non-inductive winding structure with a metallized polypropylene film and are encapsulated in a flame-retardant plastic case (UL94V-0) with flame-retardant epoxy resin. They offer good self-healing properties and can withstand high voltage surges, making them suitable for interference suppressors and X-line capacitor circuits where failure of the capacitor does not create a risk of electric shock. This series is not recommended for R-C voltage dividing circuits or high-temperature, high-humidity environments.

Usage Guidelines

  • Do not exceed the upper limit category temperature.
  • Avoid overload operation.
  • Do not exceed the maximum pulse current.
  • Avoid repeated squeezing at the lead root.
  • Soldering:
    • Wave Soldering: TP 110C; Ts 120C, 45 seconds (for polypropylene film capacitors). For P7.5mm, T4mm, soldering time < 4 seconds.
    • Soldering Iron: Tip temperature not exceeding 350C, time not exceeding 3 seconds.
    • Capacitors with printed leads are not suitable for reflow soldering.
