The MSB capacitor, also known as PHB, is a metallized polypropylene film capacitor with a non-inductive, series construction. It features tinned copper leads and is encapsulated in a flame-retardant plastic case with epoxy resin sealing. These capacitors offer excellent self-healing properties, good flame retardancy (UL94-V0 compliant), and are designed for high-frequency, high-current pulse applications. They are suitable for various electronic lighting, automotive lighting, and ballast applications, as well as for absorbing surge, high pulse, high voltage, and high current scenarios.
